The Fiat Scudo is the van we converted for those who want to explore Iceland without giving up comfort. Compact and easy to drive and park like a car, it has everything you need to live on the road: a proper bed, a kitchen, heating and electricity, wherever you stop.
The van’s interior combines comfort and independence: a sliding bed that unfolds in seconds, a kitchenette, heating, and everything you need to charge your devices. Wake up to Icelandic landscapes without having to set up or pack away a thing.

No. The Fiat Scudo is a two-wheel-drive vehicle, so F-roads in the Highlands are off-limits, and the insurance does not cover any damage that may occur there. You can, however, explore the entire Ring Road, the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and the vast majority of Iceland’s must-see sites without any problems. If the Highlands are your priority, take a look at our 4x4 with a rooftop tent instead.
The van is fitted with a 100 Ah lithium battery, chosen to perform reliably in Iceland’s cold weather, and a 2,000 W inverter. You’ll have USB ports and standard 220 V sockets for charging phones, cameras and laptops. The battery recharges while you drive, and a monitor constantly shows you how much power is left. An external hookup also lets you connect to mains power at campsites that offer it.
No. The van has a 2 kW diesel heater and full Armaflex insulation. You can warm up the cabin before going to bed or leave the heater running overnight, even in May or September. The sleeping bags provided are rated for 0°C.
A standard Class B license is enough. You must be at least 21 years old and have held your license for at least 2 years.
The van has a kitchenette with a sink, tap and cool box-fridge. The gas stove must be used outdoors or under the open side door, never with the doors closed.
Yes, two 20 L tanks supply the sink, giving you 40 L of water. Tap water is excellent throughout Iceland, and you can refill for free at campsites and petrol stations.
No, the van doesn’t have a toilet or shower. Iceland has plenty of campsites, conveniently spread across the country, and they all have bathroom facilities and hot showers.
