Iceland Nomads is specially designed for groups of 2 or 3 people.

• If you are 2, you can choose either the 4x4 with a rooftop tent or the camper van.
• If you are 3, you can opt for the 4x4. We provide an extra ground tent and the necessary camping gear (mattress, sleeping bag, and pillow), as the rooftop tent is only big enough for two people.
• Want to go with more than 3 people? That's possible, but you'll need to form several small groups. Each group must register separately and will be assigned its own vehicle.

Yes, the main roads are well-maintained and traffic flows smoothly. You just need to adjust your driving to the wind, the sheep (often on the road!), and the weather. Note: a road tax per kilometer will be implemented starting from January 2026.

Yes, absolutely. You can travel with a child, as long as your group does not exceed 3 people per vehicle. That's the maximum we recommend to keep the trip comfortable, especially with all the camping gear provided.

If you're traveling with 3 people and your child is over 8 years old, we will provide an additional ground tent. If they are younger, they can sleep with you in the rooftop tent or in the converted van.

If you're traveling with a young child, you are also entitled to an additional discount. Just send us an email to request it.

If you want to travel with 2 children or more, unfortunately, you will need to book 2 vehicles. With all the camping gear included, traveling with more than 3 people in the same vehicle is not comfortable.

Unfortunately, our road trip is not designed for solo travelers, mainly due to the long distances to cover. That's why we recommend traveling with at least 2 people.

Additionally, prices are always calculated based on 2 people. It is possible to do the road trip alone, but in that case, you'll have to pay double the base price.

The complete itinerary is mapped out. You'll pass through the most famous places in Iceland, but we'll also guide you to hidden, lesser-known spots that aren't on most tourist maps yet. We provide suggested stops, but you're free to follow them or add your own along the way.

It also includes a list of unique addresses where you can grab a drink or a meal in the evening.

We offer a road trip of 7 or 10 days, fully mapped out, so it's not possible to adjust the duration and schedule of the trip.

Of course, you are free to extend your trip on your own initiative by staying a few extra days in Iceland afterward, for example.

For this trip, you must be at least 21 years old and have held a driver's license for 2 years.

Upon your arrival in Iceland, you will be warmly welcomed by our local rangers. They will greet you and give you a brief explanation before you embark on your 7-day road trip.

During your trip, you'll find all the useful information in our app. Additionally, just before your departure, you will have access to a Whatsapp group with all the participants leaving on the same date. In this group, you can communicate with each other, and someone from the team will also be available in case of emergency.
